About 6orSticks
6orSticks is an independent fantasy cricket draft game for fans who love the arguments about players, eras and team balance. You can play a solo tournament without creating an account; an account is needed for head-to-head Battles.
The Purpose
Cricket is a sport obsessed with statistics and comparison. We built 6orSticks to turn those debates into drafting choices rather than declare a definitive all-time ranking. A standard solo draft reveals one historical squad per round. You keep a player for an eligible place in your XI, then see how that side fares in a simulated tournament or series.
The Hundred changes the decision: an auction budget means an expensive star costs you flexibility later. Daily modes offer a shared challenge or a new mystery-player quiz, while Battles lets registered players draft from the same board. These are game simulations, not predictions of real cricket matches.
Data & Methodology
Cricket has changed drastically over the decades: scoring speeds, conditions and the number of matches are not constant. Our rating model starts with historical performances against peers from the relevant format and era rather than ranking raw career totals alone. Batting considers output and quality; bowling considers wicket-taking and efficiency in context.
We review role assignments and short samples where statistics alone would give a misleading picture. Team analysis then weighs batting positions, bowling options, keeping, balance and, in limited overs, scoring speed. The result is an entertainment model with deliberate trade-offs, not a claim that every cross-era comparison has one correct answer. See the strategy and ratings guide for practical examples.
Independence & Editorial Principles
6orSticks is entirely independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by the ICC, national cricket boards, franchise leagues or player associations. Player and team names are used to identify historical cricket participants in a fan-made game.
We aim to describe how the game works and where its limits are, rather than present simulated scores as real results. For help with progress and backups, visit support; for how the site handles data and advertising, see the privacy policy.
